We stayed in haus Kainz on the 3rd floor with a balcony and lake view- it was absolutely amazing seeing that beautiful lake and the mountains first thing in the morning and in the evening. We had a 3 wk trip through Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria and this was our favorite part of it all. Sitting on that balcony while sipping coffee or wine and watching the sunrise/set behind the mountains was absolute perfection. Overall I’m very glad we stayed one night in Hallstatt as the whole town changes after 5-6p until 9a the next day when all the day-trippers are gone...it’s far more peaceful.
